Who We Are

Electric Sign Manufacturing, Installation, and Service since 1945

Agnew Sign and Awning started in 1945 with Mr. David Agnew. David’s son, Tom, was fighting in France during WWII, and David wanted a job waiting for his son when he came back after the war. In 1994, Noble and Susan Johnston purchased Agnew from Tom when he was ready to retire. Noble then hired Mike Pulliam, whom he worked with in Dallas, to move to Monroe to manage the company. In 1999, Mike and his wife Tina completed the purchase of Agnew from Noble and Susan, and run the company to this day.

Agnew’s ownership is a firm believer that family comes first, and we are proud to be the third family that owns and operates Agnew.

Our Process

Plan

Our planning process is built around you. You’ll collaborate with our sales team to determine the best signage for your needs.

The planning phase happens like this:

  • Initial consultation between you and a sales representative

  • Determination of type signage that best fits your needs and your location

  • Site survey is conducted, if needed

  • Verify zoning restrictions

Design

We don’t build until you approve every last aspect of the design.

The design phase happens like this:

  • Creation of initial design that captures the essence of your project

  • Formal review of design with production and estimating

  • Final design and estimate delivered to you for approval

Manufacture

Manufacturing is where all the details in the planning and designing stages starts to come together.

The manufacturing phase happens like this:

  • Engineering

  • Permitting

  • Ordering Materials

  • Fabrication

  • Test Burns

  • Quality Control

Install

We handle all the installation of the project as well in order to insure your vision comes to life in the best way possible.

The installation phase happens like this:

  • Flagging of the site

  • Coordination with you and other on-site personnel

  • Installing of the sign itself

Service

We continue our relationship with you and can handle anything that your sign needs.

The service phase happens like this:

  • Initial service call

  • Replace or repair any needed components

  • Sign inspections, yearly cleanings, night spotters, and more
